Our Sanford location’s story began with funeral director L. W. Eichelberger, who mentored Eunice Idella Wilson when opportunities for women in funeral service were limited. Through his guidance and hands-on training, she developed the skills to become a licensed funeral director and embalmer. In 1955, following the deaths of Eichelberger and his wife, Miss Wilson purchased the establishment and retained his name in tribute to the mentor who helped shape her career.
